Shabby Sheep

Katy and I stopped by the Shabby Sheep after school today. We were totally overstimulated (in a good way). They had so many gorgeous colors and textures. The two owners were really sweet and helpful. I learned that when yarn is in a ball or oblong ball, it's called a skein. When its twisted in a braid like these, it's called a hank. I like that. So Katy and I each bought a "hank" of hand dyed merino wool by Manos del Uruguay. The owner put the hank on this wheel like contraption and rolled it into a user friendly ball. They wrapped them up in clear cellophane. When she handed them to us, she said "See? Yarn candy." I love it.
