mail!

I love getting mail. Almost as much as I love sending it. Over the last month I have made more of an effort to send mail. I have been rewarded. I have received post cards, a letter (on real letterhead), an accordian book/collage letter, and a collage card. So thank you Joel in Kansas City, Trina and Courtney in Mckinney, and Seth and Sarah in San Francisco. I promise to keep it going. Want to be my penpal? I promise I'll write. I'll write it with my fountain pen.

Day off-Day 5

I took today off because I was supposed to go to a concert last night. That fell through, so I slept in until noon. Oops. I finished Tony's mix and dropped it in the mail along with my students' postcards. I went grocery shopping and made a yummy sandwich: french bread, mozzarella, tomato, avocado, salt, and pepper. I drank iced coffee and read my Lucky magazine on my porch before my soccer game. We lost our game, natch.

I got an extra adorable valentine in the mail yesterday from my sweet friend, Trina! It was such a nice surprise. She is the queen of vintage papers, always scores the best treasures at estate sales, and is my first and favorite teacher friend. Thanks, Trina!
