I've been whipping up some Christmas gifts for people who shall remain nameless. These holiday napkins sets are going to two super special ladies. I have some other major gifts in the works for my family. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thank you for reading my blog and leaving sweet comments. I hope this break (if you get one) leaves you refreshed and inspired (to craft) in the new year. You too, Mr. Marvelle! xxoo

Summer Doin's
I made PW's Avocado Egg Salad. Mine turned out more like a dip, but tasted amazing on baguette with tomato. Great summer lunch/snack.
I'm still making bracelets and marathoning law and order episodes (SVU of course).
My auntie and I went to the Woolie Ewe for the first time. I have always known about it, but I can't resist those Joann coupons. I like to go to nice yarn shops when I am going to knit something special, usually for myself. I didn't realize that it was so close to my Moma's house (.2 miles). It's in the old Music Manor location, I couldn't believe it! Music Manor was quite the hot spot in high school. I picked up 3 skeins of variegated combed cotton. Connie Sue and I did a little happy dance when we were realizing how much cotton they had.
The best part of the trip was when I used a gift card I received back in December. I had no idea how much was on it. Cha-ching, $40!!!! Thanks, Mary B! So I have some left over! I'll definitely be back.

a sussie box
I got a picture of my Phlox before the flowers disappear. I would love to have a nicer flower bed in my front yard, but Jasmine (planted by the previous owner to jazz up the front yard) has taken over. I am okay with the ground cover, but it still looks like weeds to me. So my three Phlox plants are center stage for at least a little bit.
My Aunt Connie and I have started trading sussie boxes. I sent her a yarn bowl and matching coffee cup made by my work bestie, Paige. Last week she sent me lots of goodies!
-cute apple juice jar for a bud vase
-Texas photo collage she made
-crocheted neck warmer/necklace thingy
-framed stamped pic she made
and best of all:
-a Jason Aldean Big Green Tractor t-shirt! I love that song!
I'll have to start working on her next one!

I managed some valentines.
I felt very loved yesterday. I got a surprise dozen at work from the boy, some cute carnations from work friends, and two valentines in the mail!

Sunday/Monday (back to work)
I finished all of my squares! I laid them out at my moma's house and Bitsy tried to help me.
I picked a black and white floral pattern to go in between. We decided it looked very "scrap."
I cut all my triangles and squares and started sewing them into strips.
Moma made blueberry/peach pie. Yes.

Hank gave me a mani gift certificate for Christmas. I cashed in last night at the Red Door Spa. I went for a Valentiney color. Here are my perfect (not for long) nails holding a pink wash cloth I finished knitting.

Pressie
I got home from Austin about 9pm last night. I had a really fun weekend with the boy and jammed out hardcore to some Smashing Pumpkins on the way home. My mailbox was full and I had two letters from two of my pen pals. SL sent me this gorgeous yarn. It's so buttery and SL. I have never heard of this brand. I am so lazy about my yarn shopping, this has inspired me to branch out a bit.
